The eighth edition of the Observatory refers to more than 148 thousand products digitized by GS1 Italy Services’ Immagino service as of June 2025, combined with NielsenIQ sales data.
Starting from this edition, the scope of analysis of the IdentiPack Observatory has expanded: phenomena are now measured not only across hypermarkets and supermarkets, but also in the “superettes” channel, i.e., supermarkets with a commercial area smaller than 400 m². This channel covers approximately 9,615 points of sale in Italy, thereby strengthening the representativeness of the analysis.
