EXTENDED COOKIE POLICY
This policy is intended to disclose the operation of cookies installed or otherwise present on the domain www.osservatorioidentipack.it (hereinafter “Site”).
What are cookies ?
Cookies are small strings of text that sites visited by the user send to the user’s terminal (usually to the browser), where they are stored, and then transmitted back to the same sites on the same user’s next visit.
Cookies can be set by the site you visit(first-party cookies) or by other sites(third-party cookies). This happens because the site visited by the user may contain elements (images, maps, sounds, links to web pages in other domains, etc.) that reside on servers other than that of the site visited. Based on purpose, cookies are divided into two major macrocategories: technical cookies and profiling cookies.
Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service. These are not used for any further purposes and are normally installed directly by the site visited by the user. In particular, these cookies may allow normal navigation and enjoyment of the site and navigation according to a set of criteria selected in order to improve the service rendered.
The installation of such cookies does not require the user’s prior consent.
Analytical cookies are, then, assimilated to technical cookies, where these are used directly by the site operator to collect aggregate information on the number of users and how they visit the site. These cookies allow the site operator to understand how users interact with site content in order to optimize services
Profiling cookies, on the other hand, are aimed at creating profiles related to the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing. The installation of this type of cookie requires the user’s prior consent.
Finally, according to their duration, cookies are distinguished into persistent, which remain stored on the user’s device until they expire, subject to removal by the user, or session cookies, which vanish when the browser is closed and are, therefore, limited in duration.
- Data controller
The Data Controller, i.e., the entity responsible for decisions regarding the purposes, methods and security of personal data, is CONAI – Consorzio Nazionale Imballaggi, with registered office in Rome, Via Tomacelli no. 132 and operational headquarters in Milan, Via Pompeo Litta no. 5 (hereinafter “CONAI”).
- Type, purpose and legal basis of cookies on the Site
The Site uses:
- Strictly necessary technical cookies (third party) to enable the user to navigate the Site normally and enjoy its basic functionality;
- Statistical and analytical (third-party) cookies to collect information about your use of the Site and to process statistical analysis. Among other things, the Site uses the service provided by Google Ireland Limited, called Google Analytics, which does not allow user identification; in fact, the data collected is processed in a completely aggregated and anonymized form.
User consent is not required for their installation.
There are, in addition, sharing buttons on the Site to allow sharing of content through social networks (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn) that may collect third-party cookies installed by them. The Site does not share any information with such widgets, and user consent is required for their installation.
Finally, this Site may contain links or references for access to other Web sites. CONAI does not have the power to control cookies and/or tracking technologies on other websites, to which this policy does not apply.
- Cookie preference management and nature of provision
When you first access any page on the Site, there is a banner that contains a summary of the cookies on the Site. By clicking the “accept” button, the user accepts the installation of strictly necessary technical cookies and analytical cookies on the Site, for which it is not necessary to express consent; however, by clicking the “manage preferences” button, the user will be able to express and save his or her preference in relation to each type of cookie on the Site.
These choices are stored and recorded through the use of a special “technical cookie”, which allows the user to access the Site directly – in case of subsequent visits – without having to express consent to the use of said cookies again.
In any case, the user is always allowed to modify and manage the preferences expressed on cookies, blocking their installation or revoking the consent initially given. In addition, users can learn about information and how to disable third-party cookies by clicking on the links contained in the “more information and links to third-party disclosures and consent forms” column of the table above.
